Vitalik Buterin Asks Which Coin Would Dominate By 2035 If Not Ethereum — Here Are The People’s Choices – Dogecoin – United States Dollar ($DOGE), Ethereum – United States Dollar ($ETH)

Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) Co-Creator Vitalik Buterin He hypothetically posed to his 3.1 million Twitter followers, and they got a lot of high-profile responses.

What happened: Buterin had taken a survey on his Twitter page, asking people what they prefer as a transaction and savings currency if Ethereum is out of competition for the dominant currency in 2035.

Different currencies were included in the two different surveys started by Buterin. In one survey, Cardano (ADA) controlled 42% of the total votes of 245,261 votes. Bitcoin (BTC) came in second place with 30.7% while Solana (SOL) The dollar fell by 18% and 9.4% of the vote.

Saw another poll BNB (BNB) is on top with 41.2% of 97,655 votes. New (NEO) ranked second with 32.7%. you can see (TRX) and the Chinese yuan are in third and fourth places, respectively, with 21% and 5.1% of the vote.

why does it matter: Ethereum killers advanced at a record pace last year amid a backdrop of the growing popularity of non-fungible tokens, smart contracts, and decentralized finance.

Some of these coins include Cardano, Solana (SOL), ghost (FTM) and Avalanche (Afax).

However, Ethereum continued to dominate. The project has 147.5 billion of the total value locked, or 62.06% in DeFi terms, according to data from DeFi Llama.

Some of the best NFT combinations like CryptoPunks, Art Blocks, Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club are on Ethereum.

However, this does not mean that the competition is not catching up. This week, ADA got a shot in the arm after Input Output, a company associated with the project, said Cardano’s smart contract platform Plutus had been deployed.

This month, JPMorgan analyst Nikolaos Banegirtzooglu He said in a note that unless efforts to expand Ethereum “might come too late” the market share of the DeFi project could drop further.
