Shiba Inu (CRYPTO: SHIB) saw one of the biggest and fastest rallies in 2021. As a result, the meme coin gained a lot of popularity. And although it sold off from its highs, its rally was so spectacular that SHIB still ranks 13th on the list of the most valuable cryptocurrencies today. However, despite their popularity, there are many cryptocurrencies that are better investments in the long run, including Solana (CRYPTO: SOL).

Don’t get me wrong, Shiba Inu’s popularity and community are impressive. But as a long-term investment, despite this popularity and past performance, there are many reasons to avoid Shiba Inu. First, it is highly speculative, as is evident when looking at its scheme.

On top of that, though, Shiba Inu offers a bit of distinction for tons of other coins. While you can stake it now, and there are places to spend it, a much larger number of tokens and coins offer greater potential in the long run, all while being less guesswork and less volatile.

So, if you are considering investing in Shiba Inu, here’s why Solana and these three other cryptocurrencies are enjoying more upside in 2022 and beyond.

Here’s Why Solana and These 3 Cryptocurrencies Outperform Shiba Inu

Since Shiba Inu does not offer much differentiation or exposure to any revolutionary protocol, there are a lot of better cryptocurrencies out there.

for one, Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), the second most valuable cryptocurrency by market cap, is a better investment. Ethereum is not one of the most popular blockchains, but 2022 should be a huge year as it gets upgraded to Ethereum 2.0.

Solana is another cryptocurrency that has already seen massive gains. This is because the blockchain network, like Ethereum, features some of the best technologies and the highest speeds.

As you can see, the trend so far is the most popular and valuable cryptocurrency. There is a reason these coins are at the top. Any project that has the potential to grow in popularity should be worth the investment.

So, if you are an investor hoping to find cryptocurrencies with great growth potential, there are two more that are worth less than Solana or Ethereum that can still grow exponentially in value and outpace Shiba Inu this year.

Two Undervalued Cryptocurrencies to Buy for 2022

ghost (CRYPTO: FTM) is another high-potential blockchain compatible with Ethereum. This gives it a large number of advantages and growth potential, as the industry expands in the long run. Plus, right now, Fantom is pretty cheap, which is why it’s one of my top recommendations for 2022.

moreover, Sushi Swap (CRYPTO: SUSHI) is another big project you might want to know about that is sure to beat Shiba Inu this year. Sushi Swap is a decentralized exchange that acts as an automated market maker. Therefore, investors can deposit their cryptocurrency on SushiSwap and earn passive income in return, which is why it is an excellent investment.

So whether you want to invest in a top cryptocurrency like Solana, or a bullish cryptocurrency like Fantom, as long as you find an asset that has real potential and can differentiate itself from its competitors, this is an investment that you can make with long-term confidence buying.
